Find a shelf or small piece of furniture that you already own.
I used a wooden shelf that we already had laying around the house. We bought it from Bed Bath & Beyond years ago.
2. Figure out which baskets could work to hide your TV cables.
I already had the top basket (which I probably bought from Target or TJ Maxx). The two collapsible woven baskets on the bottom, I bought from Lowes.

The collapsible baskets worked for me in that I could fit the wires through the opening of the basket. In a traditional basket, you’d have to poke a hole through the back of the basket so that the wires wouldn’t have to lay over the top. For me, the collapsible baskets hid the wires easier.
3. Tape the extra cords so that they take up less space.
Having a lot of wires hanging loose behind the shelf makes it harder to push the shelf up against the wall. I used regular scotch tape to coil up the extra wires and cords and secure them. This little tip made the shelf look a lot tidier!
